Footballers of the MFC ‘Vrgorac’ Tested

Associates in lecture from the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education of the University of Montenegro has continued anthropometric examination of top futsal players in Croatia, this time in the first league futsal club ‘Vrgorac’.

Competition for the champion in the championship of Croatia, and ‘Vrgorac’ plays against ‘Universitas’ from Split. The trainer of ‘Vrgorac’, former long-years player of the futsal Pjer Malvasija hopes the Vrgorac will play in semifinal and meet expectations of fans who occupy whole hall at each match.

Tests will show metabolism parameters of athletes and give guidelines for they further training process, and also expand scientific data base of the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education for further research.

Testing were performed by associates in lecture from the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education of the UoM Jovan Gardasevic, MSc and Ivan Vasiljevic, MSc in cooperation with Marina Corluka, PhD from the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Mathematics and Education in Mostar.

They are engaged in development of scientific data base with top athletes from region. They recently finished testing in Bosnia and Herzegovina, while testing in Croatia and Montenegro are still in progress.
