Ana Milačić was Awarded with the Golden Plaque by MJSSM

Handball palyer of the team "AEK" from Athens - Ana Milačić received today the Gold Plaque for outstanding international sports achievements and for the promotion of Montenegrin sport and values, awarded by the reputable “Montenegrin Journal of Sports Science and Medicine”. The award was presented by the editor of this journal, Prof. Duško Bjelica.
"First of all I would say that I am proud to be a student at the Faculty for Sport and Physical Education. It is a great honor for me to receive the award, "said Milačić at the opening ceremony.
She won with Greek club AEK the title of the champions of Greece and the Greek Cup, which was the reason for this award.
"I am not changing the winning team, and I hope to continue with the same team and in the same rhythm for the next two years, for period that I have signed a new contract with AEK," she added, and thanked for the award.
"It's no coincidence that this award was presented at the Sports and Cultural Center of University of Montenegro for several reasons, explained Prof. Bjelica."The first is that the Center is a big brand, not only for the University of Montenegro but also for the state, the other one is that Journal is the leader in the region, and the reason for today's gathering is the success of a young athlete, a student at the Faculty for Sport," he said.
Bjelica added that Milačić is a graduate economist and wants to get some knowledge through the studies at the Faculty in Nikšić, which will be able to use in practice, after a successful career, commenting that it is not easy at the same time to have a career and to finish the studies.
Dean of the Faculty for Sport and Physical Education and one of the editors of the Journal Stevo Popović said that the Faculty is especially proud of the fact that handball player Milačić is a student at the Study program for handball Sports Trainers.
Popović also presented the “Montenegrin Journal of Sports Science and Medicine”, which has been published twice a year since its foundation in 2012, and is the only Montenegrin scientific Journal that has been indexed in the two most advanced databases of Web of Science and Scopus, and became a brand in the field of sports science with a leading position.
"The first winners of this award, besides Milačić, are Montenegrin national basketball player and Valencia's basketball player from Spain - Bojan Dubljević and karate player from team" Omladinac "from Podgorica - Mario Hodžić.
Good results and earned awards, along with the significant names of our sport, indicate, as Professor Bjelica concluded, to the significance of the award itself.
"Given that this journal is internationally recognized and highly ranked, we receive numerous proposals from several countries in the region, where our colleagues are proposing to us certain athletes who are playing in the NBA league and the Champions League today. The best of them will be our future laureates because we do not want to stop only on Montenegro, "announced Bjelica.
