The Faculty Today

The Faculty has a fully rounded curriculum in all majors. Classes are held in very high-quality spatial and technical conditions. Most lecturers use modern technical aids to facilitate the work of students. The largest number of lecturers at the Department are teachers from the University of Montenegro, mainly from the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Economics, the Faculty of Philology, the Faculty of Philosophy in Nikšić and the Historical Institute of Montenegro. A number of lecturers from Montenegro are also engaged through the University of Montenegro on the basis of one-year contracts and these are either persons who have a doctorate degree, but are not permanently employed at the University or retired professors of our University. A certain number of lecturers, also based on the Universitys competition for one-year engagement, come to the University of Belgrade, mainly from the Faculty of Political Science or the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Political Science in Zagreb.

The Faculty also relatively often organizes guest lectures by experts (scientists, university professors, ambassadors, other diplomats, journalists, etc.) from the country and abroad, in order to provide its students with a more concrete introduction to the subject they deal with.

High school students with the best grades show interest in enrolling in the Faculty of Political Science. It has been shown that they later achieve exceptional results as students. Success in most subjects fits completely into the "Gaussian curve", while in a number of subjects it is even better. In the past, the Faculty has tried to provide its students with practical application of acquired knowledge.

Students have access to a very well-equipped library with a significant collection of books and numerous new and valuable publications. The library also contains a very adequate reading room that students use to prepare for exams.

After three years of regular studies, the Faculty has organized specialist and masters postgraduate studies and three-year doctoral studies according to the Bologna system for all study programs.
