Professors of the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education of the University of Montenegro realized an anthropometric measurements of the women's junior handball team of Montenegro preparing for the European Championship in the Hungarian Győr, from July 11th to 21th.

Team of Suzana Lazovic, who had access to data on morphological structure of young handball players, won a bronze medal at the tournament in Budapest last month.

Next to Suzana Lazovic, assistant trainer Dragan Durdjuvac and goal keeper trainer Zoran Jocovic also attended the measurements. Measurements were performed by Dusko Bjelica, PhD, Jovan Gardasevic, MSc and Ivan Vasiljevic, Msc.

‘The basic structure of each training process is primarily testing and measuring different abilities and characteristics, and the result as the basic goal of each athlete depends primarily on the morphological diagnostics of athletes,’ Professor Bjelica said.

This young handball team is the hereditary generation of handball players who won silver at the London Olympics and in Serbia, the same year 2012, and gold at the European Championship in Serbia.
