Anthropometric Measurement of Football Clubs of the Superleague of Kosovo

After measuring the best football clubs in Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Faculty for Sport and Physical Education, University of Montenegro, within the diagnostic center at its disposal, continued to expand the database of top athletes, so on Monday 28th and Tuesday 29th August, 2017, the measurements of the best clubs of the super league of Kosovo was conducted. Football players from football club Trepça 89 from Kosovska Mitrovica were tested, who was last year's champion and participant in qualifications for the Champions League, as well as Prishtina from Pristina, qualifiers for the Europa League and Besa from Pec, which is the current winner of the Kosovar Cup.

Anthropometric measurements were performed by Ivan Vasiljević and Sami Srmahxhaj from Kosovo, PhD student of the Faculty for Sport and Physical Education, Univertsity of Montenegro from Nikšić. The professional staff of all the measured clubs was given insight into the percentage values of fat, bone and muscle tissue, the total amount of water in the body, the relationship between the left and right sides of the body, and metabolic parameters.

Extremely dynamic development of science, modern diagnostics and new technologies enables the systematic monitoring of an increasing number of anthropometric parameters, which is of special importance for achieving top results in sports.
