Lisbon Meeting of EUFITMOS Project: Fitness of the Young People will be monitored within the European Network




European network for monitoring fitness of the young people on online platform, will be one of results of Erasmus + project with participation of the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education of the University of Montenegro. On initial meeting of project initiation “European System of Monitoring Fitness (EUFITMOS)" in Lisbon, representatives of European partner universities gathered among which are representatives of the Faculty for Sport and Physical Education, Dean Stevo Popovic and Bojan Masanovic.

„On the meeting they determined methodology of the project for the next three years with clear tasks reflected in creation of European network for monitoring fitness of young people from elementary to high school students. Project will bridge differences among knowledge, guidelines, concepts for monitoring and assessment among countries and different indicators of fitness”, Popovic explained. One of goals is manual for standardized fitness monitoring, training module for teachers of physical education and manual for teachers of physical education.

Project is implemented within Erasmus +: Cooperation in Partnership in the sport field and non-profit European sport events financed by the European Agency  EACEA.  

The project coordinator id the Faculty of Humane Kinetics in Lisbon from Portugal.   

The initial meeting was attended by other partner organizations, participants of this project: Association for Development of Youth Sport from Portugal, Engineering University from Munich Germany, Sports Association of Slovenia from Slovenia, and University Aristotle Thessaloniki from Greece and University Foundation Isabel from Spain.
