Anthropometric Measurement of Athlete Kristina Rakocevic

On September 6, the Diagnostic Center at the Faculty for Sport and Physical Education, University of Montenegro hosted the Montenegrin Olympic Committee scholar Kristina Rakočević, the junior champion of the world athletics and the best young athlete of Montenegro, in 2013, 2015 and 2016.

In the diagnostic center accredited by the Ministry of Science and systematized by the University of Montenegro as a research institute, detailed anthropometric measurement with all relevant parameters was performed. Our greatest hope of athletics, based on the innovative Tanita scales, had an insight into the percentage content of fat in the structure of the body, as well as the segmental analysis of the percentage of fat, (percentage of fat in the left and right hand, as well as the percentage of fat in the left and right legs). Based on software that the diagnostic center also possesses, information on the percentage values of muscle and bone mass, as well as parameters of metabolism were also obtained, and the values of skin folds on individual body segments were measured. Kristina Rakocevic was also tested on the Podoskop, the instrument for plantar foot analysis.

The above measure was realized by Ivan Vasiljevic, and from the Faculty for Sports and Physical Education announced that they will continue to expand the activities of the Diagnostic Center and the database of athletes that are stipulated by the Montenegrin Olympic Committee because control of the training of prospective athletes in order to improve quality and top sport is one of the most important continuous activities and the achievements of contemporary sports science need to be monitored and applied.
