Montenegrin Sharks, Former Vice Champions and European Champions Tested in Igalo

As announced and agreed with coach of the water polo national team of Montenegro, Vladimir Gojković, the professors of the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education of the University of Montenegro conducted control measurement of the senior water polo national team of Montenegro a month after the initial one.

Current winners of bronze medal of the European Championship in Budapest are preparing at the pool of the Dr. Simo Milosevic Institute in Igalo.

It is a national team that is a former European champion in 2008 in Malaga, a silver medalist in 2012 in Eindhoven and a silver medal at the European Championships in Belgrade in 2016, as well as second place at the World Championships in Barcelona in 2013, while in Podgorica in 2009 won the world league.

Measurements were performed with the most modern and innovative equipment for detection of subcutaneous adipose tissue, muscle tissue, hydration of the organism and metabolism related to the amount of proteins and minerals in the body as well as basal metabolism and complete segmental analysis of the body.

Duško Bjelica, PhD, who carried out measurements with associates Dr. Jovan Gardašević and Dr. Ivan Vasiljević, as well as IT engineer Miodrag Zarubica, thanked professional staff and coach of the water polo team Vladimir Gojković for trust and pointed out differences in control compared to the initial measurement. Professor Bjelica also emphasized that diagnostics in sports is an essential factor and primary condition for creating a cycle and controlling the process in sports training.

The water polo national team of Montenegro was tested at the end of December last year, before the European Championship in Budapest.
