Erasmus+ Sport Project i4EUFITMOS Presented at PASTECHL Bar 2026 Conference

During the PASTECHL Bar 2026 Conference, held in Bar, Montenegro, from April 23 to 26, 2026, the Erasmus+ Sport project i4EUFITMOS – Intelligent Digital Services for Supporting the European Fitness Monitoring System was officially presented. The project was introduced by Prof. Dr. Bojan Mašanović within a special session dedicated to international projects and initiatives in the fields of sport, education, innovation, and healthy lifestyles.

i4EUFITMOS is an international Erasmus+ Sport project aimed at continuing and expanding the work initiated through the previous EUFITMOS project by supporting the implementation of the European Fitness Monitoring System across Europe. The project focuses on innovation and digitalization in sport, while promoting health-enhancing physical activity (HEPA) and evidence-based policy development in accordance with the EU Physical Activity Guidelines.

A key aspect of the project is the development of intelligent digital services and innovative technological solutions that will improve the collection, monitoring, analysis, and dissemination of physical fitness data. Planned activities include the enhancement of the EUFITMOS online platform, the development of user-friendly tools for physical education teachers, automatic infographic generation, interactive digital interfaces for the general public, and open-access fitness data services for researchers and young scientists.

The project primarily targets children and youth, physical education teachers, researchers, young scientists, policymakers, and the wider public. Through international cooperation and knowledge exchange, i4EUFITMOS aims to strengthen the role of sport science and digital innovation in promoting healthier lifestyles and improving public health monitoring systems across Europe.

The project is coordinated by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece) and implemented in cooperation with partners from Portugal, Slovenia, Germany, Greece, Albania, and Montenegro, including the University of Montenegro. The total project budget amounts to €400,000, while the project duration is 36 months.
