Dean Rakočević: On the Faculty of Civil Engineering 120 Vacancies on Master Studies

The Council of the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the University of Montenegro has made a decision to enroll 120 students overall, in accordance with the license, in reformed two-year master's studies, in three accredited programs.
Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering Marina Rakočevićstates that 50 vacancies are planned for master study programs Construction - Structures and Construction - Infrastructures, for which candidates with completed undergraduate academic studies in the field of construction may apply.
The interdisciplinary study program Management in Civil Engineering, for which 20 vacancies are provided, can be enrolled by candidates with completed academic undergraduate studies at other technical faculties, as well as at faculties of economics.
"Within these study programs, depending on interest, students have at their disposal attractive modules that will enable them to acquire appropriate knowledge for better integration into the labor market," Rakočević said.
At the Faculty of Civil Engineering, she adds, they have high expectations from new, two-year, master's studies, starting with great interest in enrollment.
"For the first time, our students have the opportunity to enroll in master studies that are part of the new reformed 3 + 2 + 3 system from 2017, and as students financed from the budgetto gain a five-year university education, in the amount of 300 ECTS credits." Dean Rakočević said.
She believes that free master studies are a good opportunity, but also a great responsibility that begins with taking the entrance exam for enrollment.
"We believe that this will not be an obstacle for our students who are completing their undergraduate studies in the currentconditions. In accordance with the Law on Higher Education, for the study 2020/21 year, the Council of this faculty also decided to enroll the last generation of one-year postgraduate master academic studies.
"These studies can be enrolled by candidates with previously acquired university education at the level of academic specialist studies in the field of civil engineering, i.e.candidates with 240 ECTS credits. In accordance with the license of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, it is planned to enroll a total of 30 candidates for one-year master's studies, in programs and departments of Construction, Traffic, Hydroengineering, Geotechnics and Management and Construction Technology ", Dean Rakočević said.
