Second and third year students of the study program Media studies and journalism attended two-day training on media literacy, data and mobile journalism, organized by the Mina Agency.

Together with journalists from various Montenegrin media, 30 students were enabled to acquire new knowledge on these topics, as well as to acquaint with the manners of reporting on EU issues.

First day of the training was dedicated to obtaining knowledge and skills necessary for the fight against disinformation and false news, both in texts and photos and video records, which were taught by Darko Brkan (raskrinkavanje.ba) and Stevan Janjic (Fake news researcher). During the second day of training, students learned on a proper reporting on the EU and data and mobile journalism as well, from experienced agency and research journalists.

Training participants agreed on the burden that journalism carries itself and difficulties in fighting against disinformation, but still some problems may be resolved with experience or the application of tools and technics intended to fight against disinformation.

The training is a part of the project ‘Let’s deal with ethics and false news’, implemented by the Mina Agency together with NVOs 35mm and NOMEN, and financed by the European Union.
