Today, March 25, 2022, in the library of the Institute of History, guest lecturers from the Sapienza University in Rome, Italy gave lectures:

  • Dr. Gabriele Natalizia, The Adriatic Sea in a changing international environment: some insights from US strategic documents
  • Elena Tosti Di Stefano, The Western Balkans and the EU integration process: development and prospects
  • Lorenzo Termine, NATO and China dilemma: sticking with the past vs. offshoring

Lecture by prof. Natalizia was focused on international relations and geopolitics with a special analysis of documents of the American administration from the end of the XX and the beginning of the XXI century. Colleague Tosti di Stefano referred to the role of Italy in the EU accession process of the Western Balkan countries, and Lorenzo Termino gave a closer look at the current relations between NATO and China. All three lectures are extremely current and provoked further discussion with researchers from the Historical Institute.

In addition, a meeting of colleagues from Italy was held with the director of the Institute, Dr. Radoslav Raspopović, at which it was agreed to continue the existing successful cooperation between the two institutions.
