The event gathered participants from Croatia, Italy, Serbia, Montenegro, and Albania.
Dr. Marina Odak presented the paper "Agnus Dei on the Follari of the Ulcinj Commune (14th c.)."
The paper explored the iconographic and theological significance of the motif of the Lamb of God, with a particular focus on its sacramental and apotropaic properties, as well as the process of transforming the Agnus Dei motif from the realm of liturgy and personal devotion into a symbol of communal identity and political self-affirmation in medieval Ulcinj.
Dr. Odaks research contributes to a deeper understanding of the visual methods of shaping identity in the Eastern Adriatic region and raises new questions within the study of medieval numismatics and iconography.
