Alumni Club

After the Initiative submitted by the alumni of the Faculty of Dramatic Arts – Cetinje and the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the “FDU – Cetinje Alumni Club” and the Dean of the Faculty of Dramatic Arts, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Edin Jašarović, the Rulebook on the Work of the FDU – Cetinje Alumni Club was adopted. Among other things, this Rulebook contains general provisions for the organization and functioning of its governing bodies, including the Alumni Board. Alongside the Rulebook, several general goals of cooperation and activities have been defined, such as:

  • Strengthening ties among alumni, as well as between alumni and the Faculty of Dramatic Arts – Cetinje.

  • Modernization of educational programs: analysis, consultations, research, curriculum redesign, integration of new technologies and teaching methods, strengthening practical knowledge and skills among students and staff.

  • Providing support to students in their academic and professional development.

  • Organizing workshops, round tables, panels, and lectures on various topics; sharing information on innovations in professional and scientific fields; and facilitating the exchange of expert, scientific, and practical knowledge among members to support continuous learning, discussion, and professional development of both current and former students and employees at the Faculty/University.

  • Organizing social gatherings for alumni to network, exchange experiences, and establish useful contacts.

  • Encouraging alumni to develop various support mechanisms for the academic, research, and/or operational advancement of the Faculty.

  • Promoting the Faculty of Dramatic Arts – Cetinje both within Montenegro and abroad through various activities and projects.

The signing of the Memorandum, the adoption of the Rulebook, and the Initiative for the establishment of the “FDU – Cetinje Alumni Club” (available as attachments to this post) took place at the Montenegrin National Theatre, in the presence of the Director of CNP and President of the FDU Alumni Club, Ilija Subotić, and the Dean of FDU – Cetinje, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Edin Jašarović.

Ilija Subotić graduated in Production in the field of theatre, film, radio, and television at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Cetinje.

At the Ministry of Culture, he worked as a Senior Advisor for Theatre and Film, contributing to the preparation, development, and implementation of strategic and regulatory frameworks in Montenegrin culture, as well as to the domestic and international promotion of contemporary cultural and artistic production.

Over a decade in public service, he was a member of numerous national and international working groups and initiatives, representing Montenegro in leading European programs, funds, and associations in the field of culture.

He served as Director of the Royal Theatre “Zetski dom,” and he currently holds the position of Director of the Montenegrin National Theatre.
