Dear all,

Attached to this announcement, you will find the online edition of the monograph of the Faculty of Dramatic Arts 1994 - 2024, which was published on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Faculty’s establishment.

Through sixteen segments, the monograph tells the story of the development of the faculty. It is an academic, educational, artistic, and cultural portfolio of the faculty from its founding to the present day. The introduction is written by the faculty dean, Professor Dr. Edin Jašarović. After reviewing the key milestones in the development of the study programs, from the founding of the Acting program in 1994 to the present (Timeline), a series of texts by professors of core professional-artistic subjects follows, which form the foundation of the Faculty of Dramatic Arts study programs. These texts are written by Professor Dubravka Drakić (Acting), Professor Radmila Vojvodić (Theater Directing), Professor Dr. Nikola Vukčević and Professor Marija Perović (Film and TV Directing), Professor Mr. Janko Ljumović (Theater Production), Professor Mr. Sehad Čekić (Film Production), Professor Dr. Vuk Vuković (Audiovisual Production), Assistant Professor Mr. Aleksandar Radunović (Dramaturgy), and Assistant Professor Mr. Jovana Bojović (Screenwriting). The chapter "FDU on the Repertoire" presents a selection of exam and graduation plays and films, as well as participation in national and international festivals, along with awards won by students. Projects from summer workshops, cultural and artistic programs, and conferences organized by the faculty are also mapped. This is followed by chapters on "Collaboration Map" and "Publishing Activities." The monograph also includes a chapter called "Alumni - A Journal of Memories," in which alumni share their essays: actors Jelena Đokić, Kristina Obradović, Jelena Simić, Momčilo Otašević, and Emir Ćatović; theater directors Lidija Dedović and Zoran Rakočević; filmmakers Nemanja Bečanović, Dušan Kasalica, and Gojko Berkuljan; producers Zorana Kralj, Ana Medigović, Nemanja Popović, and Miljan Vučelić; dramaturges and screenwriters Stefan Bošković, Stela Mišković, and Ana Vujadinović Tomić. The monograph concludes with overviews of graduated students, teachers, and associates during the thirty years of the Faculty of Dramatic Arts operation.

The editorial board of the monograph consisted of Professor Janko Ljumović (Editor-in-Chief), Professor Dr. Edin Jašarović, Professor Dr. Nikola Vukčević, Professor Dubravka Drakić, Assistant Professor Dr. Sara Vujošević Jovanović, and Assistant Professor Dr. Jovana Bojović. Graphic design was done by Ms. Sandra Đurović. The photographs, apart from those from the faculty’s archival collections and cultural institutions, were taken by Duško Miljanić. The translation of the introductory chapters into English was done by Dr. Olivera Kusovac, with proofreading by Katarina Milonjić.

The introduction to the monograph emphasizes that it is a collection of highlighted experiences and memories of some of the most important events and extraordinary artistic biographies of our students, as well as bibliographic publications, including the network and map of collaborations that the faculty has developed. The monograph is also a reminder of the most subtle experiences of our students after their first encounter with their classmates during acting, directing, production, and dramaturgy classes.
