Assistant Professor Dr. Kosta Goranović – recipient of the annual award of the University of Montenegro

Assistant Professor Kosta Goranović was awarded the University of Montenegros annual award, based on the proposal of the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education UCG Council. His expertise, reflected through concrete scientific results over the past year, was recognized by the UCG Rector Vladimir Božović, who presented the award at the solemn Senate session of the UCG.

In 2023, Assistant Professor Goranović achieved significant scientific accomplishments that distinguished him as a leader in his field. He published three research papers in journals indexed in prestigious international citation databases such as SCI, SCIE, SSCI, and A&HCI. Of these publications, two were published in journals highly ranked in the Q4 category, while one was in the Q2 category, demonstrating the high quality of his research work.

Furthermore, Assistant Professor Goranović stood out as a leader of fitness programs at the Football Association of Montenegros Education Center. His active participation in the UEFA seminar in České Budějovice, Prague, titled Fitness for Football, where he was part of the delegation from the Education Center of the Football Association of Montenegro, further confirmed his expertise and international reputation.

Additionally, his involvement in the education of coaches for the Football Association of Montenegro has made a significant contribution to the development of the sports profession in the country. His activities in training participants to acquire UEFA A, UEFA B, and UEFA Pro licenses have received high recognition.

His scientific work has also been noticed beyond the borders of Montenegro, as evidenced by citations of his works on Google Scholar, Scopus, and WOS. One of his published papers, titled "Kinematic parameters and metabolic power in elite soccer players: A comparison between small-sided and large-sided games," achieved significant visibility in the academic community.

All of this makes Assistant Professor Goranović not only deserving of the University of Montenegros annual award but also a true leader in the field of sports and physical education, whose work leaves a lasting mark both nationally and internationally.
