Exhibition of Montenegrin Artists in France

Professor Vesna Boskovic from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Cetinje, has taken part in exhibition of graphics in France, one of the most important manifestations of graphics – 19th International Biennale of Graphics of Sarsa.  

On the most important manifestation of graphics in France and one of the most significant internationally – 19th International Biennale of Graphics of Sarsa (19 Biennale internationnale de la gravure de Sarcelles) three Montenegrin artists are also presented: Lithography of Dimitrije Popovic, linoleum engravings of professor of graphics on the Faculty of Fine Arts in Cetinje Vesna Boskovic and Darko Karadzic. Biennale is open on November 23rd in French town Sarcelles, with exhibited about 500 graphics of 250 artists from 23 countries.

This event organized honorary tribute to recently passed away French academic and artist of high international reputation Vladimir Velickovic, as prominent Montenegrin artist Zlatko Glamocek said for ‘Vijesti’.

Honorable guest of Biennale, i.e. the country presenter this year is Japan, and on this occasion a honorable tribute was given to graphic artist Yozo Hamaguchi who presented Japan on Venetian Biennale on 1960 and 1957 this artist is awarded in Biennale in Sao Paolo and then in Tokyo Biennale and afterwards Ljubljana and Krakow.   

‘Let’s remind that 2015 Montenegro was one of the countries invited as a guest on this manifestation and on this occasion by independent exhibition of graphics was given honorably tribute to one of most enigmatic artists of the second half of twentieth century to Montenegrin artist Miodrag Djuric Dado’, Glamocak said for ‘Vijesti’.

Next to diplomatic representatives of some of the participating countries to solemn opening ambassador of Montenegro in France Ivan Ivanisevic also participated.
