A Remarkable Work Regarding Motor Development Printed in Montenegrin Language

The textbook titled “Life Span Motor Development- 6th Edition” written by Kathleen M. Haywood and Nancy Getchell, which presents a remarkable work in the field of motor development, has been translated in Montenegrin language and it is titled “Motoricki razvoj tokom zivota”.
The Faculty for Sport and Physical Education of the University of Montenegro purchased the rights to translate the textbook. This action enabled not only Montenegrin students and teachers to find out more about motor development but also sport workers and all publicity in the region of former Yugoslavia. The coo-publishers are the Faculty for Sport and Physical Education of the University of Novi Sad and Data Status from Belgrade.
The project began in October last year. After one year of hard-work the textbook is available to the publicity. The representatives of the University of Montenegro, Dusko Bjelica Ph.D. and the associate professor Stevo Popovic worked together with the professors of the Faculty for Sport and Physical Education from Novi Sad Zoran Milosevc Ph.D. and Dejan Madic Ph.D. and the manager of the project was Sergej M.Ostojic Ph.D.
The textbook contains 6 parts. The text begins by introducing the basic paradigms of motor development; the second part analyses physical development; the third one describes development of motor skills throughout a life. The fourth and fifth parts contain Perceptual-Motor Development and Functional Constraints to Motor Development while the sixth one presents Interaction of Exercise Task and Structural Constraints.
The textbook encourages student to actively analyse interaction between individuals and their environments, but also specificity of motor tasks which cause the changes of movement. This classical textbook is equipped with interactive online student resource containing 40 lab activities and 114 new video clips which provide plenty possibilities for practice.
