Ana Milacic: It is hard to predict challenges that handball will confront

Ana Milacic, the best player of the highest quality handball league in Greece and advanced university student of Faculty for Sport and Physical Education of University of Montenegro, says that virus situation trapped her in Athens, which luckily, neither then or now wasn’t hotspot or endangered area.
“Precautionary measures were initiated earlier and I have to say that they were more rigorously than with us. I have arrived in Montenegro just in time to not jeopardize neither myself or people around me. Told in sport jargon, it was last minute score’’, said Milacic.
She says that she has to admit that this condition, except self-isolation period, wasn’t hard for her, on the contrary.
“For many years I was playing handball professionally far from home and I am happy for having chance to be with my family and my dear people in this moments”.
To the handball coach graduation on Faculty for Sport and Physical Education of University of Montenegro she should pass one more exam and final graduation thesis.
“As an advanced university student of Faculty for Sport and Physical Education, among other things, I spend time hanging out with a book (read anatomy), with a good movie, a bit of training, but also walking the streets of our city feels good”, she says.
Milacic won a double crown, Cup and Greek Championship with Greek club AEK. She has played before in Thessaloniki, Nis, Zagreb, and she sprang from Buducnost from Podgorica. She is the winner of plaque of Montenegrin Journal of Sports Science and Medicine.
Her answer on question if current situation will change course of sports is: Absolutely.
“I wouldn’t comment too much finished season 2019/2020, but one thing is for sure – every athlete wants to win title on court, not at the green table. Taste of victory is definitely sweeter in front of large number of players, than in an empty hall. It is hard to predict challenges that handball and sport in general will confront in near future because current situation changed life courses of us all”, concluded Milacic.
