Golden Plaque for Nikola Vucevic by MJSSM

This year, world prominent basketball player, Nikola Vucevic will be awarded with the golden plaque for exceptional sport results achieved at the international level and promotion of Montenegrin sport, at the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education of the University of Montenegro, until the end of July.

The award was initiated by the only Montenegrin scientific sport journal indexed in two prestigious databases Web of Science and Scopus- Montenegrin Journal of Sports Science and Medicine. Editors in chiefs, Dusko Bjelic, PhD and Stevo Popovic, PhD.

 Nikola Vucevic proved he is one of the best center in the strongest world league.  Impressive results in the previous year were more than a good reason for the leaders of Orlando, to offer him a contract worth as much as $ 100 million, for the next four seasons, while they were the only choice for editorial board of the MJSSM.

Editor-in-Chief of MJSSM journal, Dusko Bjelica, PhD says this is the fifth gold plaque awarded by the journal to prominent athletes who have achieved enviable results on the European and world level.

 ‘Among them is also female student of our Faculty, Ana Milacic, a handball player who, with the Greek club AEK, won the championship of Greece and the Greek Cup. Basketball player Bojan Dubljevic, Montenegrin national team player who, with his team ‘Valencia’ from Spain, won the Euro Cup of Europe, Mario Hodzic, vice-champion of Europe in karate. The prominent Montenegrin judo and former world champion Srdjan Mrvaljevic, last week, also awarded a gold medal,’ editor-in-chief, Bjelica, PhD said.

 He said that the obligation of the magazine, which occupies a leading position in the field of sports science, to encourage other athletes to improve sports results and thus promote the values of Montenegrin sport.
