Award for Bojan Dubljević

Basketball player from team "Valencia" in Spain and national basketball player of Montenegro - Bojan Dubljević, at the Faculty for Sport and Physical Education of the University of Montenegro, received the Award for outstanding sports results on the international level and promotion of Montenegrin sport and values.

The award was given by the Montenegrin scientific journal "Montenegrin Journal of Sports Science and Medicine".

President of the Governing Board of the University of Montenegro and editor of the journal MJSSM Prof. Duško Bjelica is pleased that the Faculty was able to host "such an important sporty and worldly name of Montenegro - Bojan Dubljević", adding that Dubljević was one of the first three laureates to earn the award by playing in Spain.

"I think that he will show even better results in the future, and I hope that our reward, which was after his great results, will be for him and for us stimulant for further successful work. I think that in this way we did the best promotion of the Faculty and the MJSSM journal, "said Bjelica.

After receiving the award, Dubljevic said that it was a great honor for him, explaining that he was very proud of what was done at the Faculty, which he visited with representatives of the administration, who also showed him the Center for Diagnostic in sport, which already tested Montenegrin Teams.

"This is a big thing for both Nikšić and Montenegro. Once again, I am very proud to be part of this. As far as I'm concerned, I will continue to present the city and country in the best possible way, "he said.

The “Montenegrin Journal of Sports Science and Medicine” is the only Montenegrin scientific journal that has been indexed in the two most prestigious databases Web of Science and Scopus, occupying the leading position among scientific journals.

Dubljević led Valencia this season to Spain's first championship title in the club history, which brought the team to Euroleague next season, and was named the best player of the final series against Real Madrid. This summer he will be lead the national team of Montenegro at the European Championship.
