Organization and Governance

The Faculty of Law of the University of Montenegro operates through two key bodies:

  • The Faculty Council, a professional body responsible for major decisions concerning study programs, academic titles, teaching organization, and student-related matters.

  • The Dean, who manages the Faculty, represents it, and is accountable for ensuring legal compliance and implementing development plans.

In addition, the Dean’s Collegium supports the Dean in day-to-day decision-making and coordinating internal processes.

Study Programs

Each study program is overseen by a designated coordinator, responsible for organizing instruction, monitoring its implementation, and proposing improvements in the quality of teaching.

Administrative Support

The Faculty has a well-structured administrative system, which includes:

  • Legal, Human Resources, and General Affairs Office

  • Student Affairs Office

  • Library Services

  • Accounting Services

  • Information and Communication Support Office

  • Maintenance, Safety, and Security Services

These offices provide essential support to both students and academic staff, ensuring smooth operation of all activities.

Library

The Library is a vital academic resource, offering a rich collection of literature in law and related social sciences. Students and staff have access to a wide range of electronic databases, funded through Faculty projects and University subscriptions.

Information Technologies

Information and communication technologies are an integral part of the Faculty’s operations – supporting teaching, student services, and administrative efficiency. The rapid development of digital tools requires continuous implementation and adaptation.

Student Life and Student Organizations

The Faculty hosts several active student organizations that enrich academic and extracurricular life.

As the largest and only representative student organization, the Student Council of the Faculty of Law holds a special place in the life of our Faculty. In addition to the Student Council, other organizations also operate at our Faculty (ELSA, ADAMAS, and others).

Students have access to common areas for socializing, as well as opportunities to participate in Legal Clinics and other practice-oriented activities that bridge theory and real-world legal work.
