Publication of Students of the Faculty of Philology on the website of the European Wergeland Center: Media Literacy

On the website of the European Wergeland Center (EWC), the publication Media Literacy, authored by students of the Faculty of Philology of the University of Montenegro, was published.

 

They are students of the study programs: Montenegrin Language and South Slavic Literatures and Serbian Language and South Slavic Literatures who attended the Media Literacy module within the project Preparing Future Teachers in the Western Balkans - Education for Democracy and Human Rights. Co-authors are teachers-mentors in schools and Dušanka Popović, PhD, who edited and prepared this publication for publishing.

 

The published contents were created during the implementation of the mentioned module, and refer to concepts crucial for understanding media literacy and its importance for creating a democratic environment, the position of this problem in the educational system of Montenegro and its importance as a whole, the choice of media, understanding and deconstruction of the media message and possibilities of media manipulation.
