International cooperation within the subject Protection and revitalization of architectural heritage

Within the teaching of the subject Protection and revitalization of architectural heritage, led by full prof. Ilija Lalošević, PhD, professor Tomasz Tomaszek, PhD, from the Department of Monument Protection at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Environmental Protection and Architecture in Rzeszow (Poland) within Erasmus + mobility, gave an online lecture on "Vernacular architecture of Poland - wooden sacral architecture”.

The lecture included a review of contemporary theories in the context of the protection of wooden vernacular architecture, with special emphasis on aspects of preserving its authenticity. Professor Tomaszek presented a number of case studies and presented models in the approach to preserving wooden vernacular architecture.

Professor Tomaszek was hosted at the Faculty of Architecture by the Vice Dean for International Cooperation, assoc. prof. Slavica Stamatović Vučković, PhD and prof. Ilija Lalošević with teaching associates, after which a visit to the cultural property, the complex of the former prison "Jusovača" was organized.

During the winter semester, the students will work on the proposal for the protection and revitalization of the former prison "Jusovača" in Podgorica, after detailed historical, architectural and urban analyzes of the complex. In order to better understand the task, students had the opportunity to hear key information about the subject complex during a field trip.
