Representatives of the Faculty of Architecture Participated in the Balkan Architecture Biennale

Fourth Balkan Architecture Biennale, BAB 2019, was solemnly open on November 14th in Kino Balkan in Belgrade. Topic of this year’s Biennale is (DE) CODING BALKAN, and host state this year is Montenegro. On this occasion, assemble that gathered numerous architects from Balkan states was open by the Minister of Culture in the Government of Montenegro Aleksandar Bogdanović.

On Biennale were presented several papers of professors, associates and students of the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Montenegro.  

Book a Tridimensional Morphology of Montenegro by author Vukota Tupa Vukotic in editing Svetislav G. Popovic, PhD, as well as the book Architecture Communication: Objects of Culture in Montenegro 1945-200, by author Slavica Stamatović Vučković, were presented to Belgrade public in a special category, contribution of scientific work to promotion of Montenegro, its culture, urbanism and architecture.

Also, there was presentation of student papers and research on the subject Re(Think) Podgorica, Innovative Underground, recently shown within the Architecture Night in cooperation with the Association of Architects of Montenegro, within project Micro 020 and under mentorship of Veljko Radulović, PhD, MSc Ema Alihodžić Jašarović  and MSc Sanje Paunović Žarić.

On the first day of Biennale, documentary about Montenegrin architecture named Montenegro Decoding Balkan, where Veljko Raudulovic, PhD was one of ten selected authors, who presented a nominated and representational architecture creation in this case project of Adriatic Pools.  

Papers in category of interior and design of furniture were presented by associates in teaching: Marija Bojović, MSc and MSc Sanja Paunović Žarić. In Biennale was also presented the award Bozidar Milic.

In category Competition papers were presented papers of Svetlana Perović, PhD, MSc Marija Ćaćić and student Bojana Raspopović and Bojana Cerović.

Within segment ‘Montenegro - Institutional Professional Collaboration’, Ema Alihodžić Jašarović on behalf of the Association of Architects of Montenegro presented the projects COLLECTOR and Mikro020.
