Conversations with the artist: Belma Šarančić on methods of psychophysical reeducation

As part of the series of online lectures "Conversations with an Artist" of the Music Academy of the University of Montenegro, on March 12, 2021, accordion professor from the University of Sarajevo Belma Šarančić will give a lecture on "Methods of psychophysical reeducation to improve musical performance" via Zoom application.

Students will have the opportunity to ask questions after the introductory presentation.

Belma Šarančić-Nahodović (1984) is a professor of accordion at the Music Academy of the University of Sarajevo. She completed her studies at the Music Academy of the University of Sarajevo (Department of Music Theory and Pedagogy) and at the Music Academy in East Sarajevo (she graduated in the class of Danijela Gazdić and received her master's degree in the class of Radomir Tomić in the field of accordion - concert performer). She completed her specialist studies in the class of Claudia Jaccomucija at the Scuola Superiore di fisarmonica in Urbino, Italy, and received her PhD from the Music Academy of the University of Sarajevo in the class of Geira Draugsvoll.


She participated in and won numerous competitions in Bosnia and Herzegovina and abroad. Since 2005, she has been a member of the jury in over 20 competitions. She has performed with several orchestras, including the chamber orchestra of the Music Academy in Sarajevo and the Sarajevo Philharmonic. S also establishes successful cooperation with Bosnia and Herzegovina composers whose works are premiered at concerts and festivals. Among them, the concert for accordion and string orchestra of Ivan Čavlović "For Belma Š.-N." (2017) stands out.

By invitation, she is a guest lecturer at the music academies of the universities of Vilnius (Lithuania), Copenhagen (Denmark), Amsterdam (Netherlands) and Trieste (Italy), where in addition to master classes with students, he also gives lectures in the field of Alexander technique in accordion. Since 2017, he has been the vice dean for concert activities at the Music Academy of the University of Sarajevo.
