Bojan Martinovic, Dean of the Music Academy, Participated in the Forum of Music Academies in China

Dean forum of Music academies from 16 countries from Europe and China was held in Hongzhou from 21 to 25 September.

During the panel discussions, the deans talked about different types of collaboration, emphasizing the importance of knowledge and experience exchange in the field of education, mutual artistic projects, mobility of students and professors within numerous European and Chinese projects, and about other activities that encourage and improve results.

The memorandum about collaboration between the academies from the Central and Eastern Europe and China was signed, initializing Music Academy Union which promotes the most important values in music education and performance. This union represents the beginning of the further development of collaboration and exchange of projects.

Dean Martinovic had two presentations titled “Inheritance, Development and Innovation’’ and “Exchanges and Collaboration”.

“This Union is a great opportunity not only for the Balkans but also for other small countries which are not distinguished enough to get affirmation. Incorporation of artistic and pedagogic potentials is the first step toward the better results.

The Music Academy Union and its mechanisms can improve mobility, capacities and infrastructure, and staff through the mutual projects. Such integrated region is more interesting for the rest of Europe.”-said Martinovic.

The Zhejiang Conservatory was founded in 2016 and it is the world biggest conservatory with 9 concert halls, 102 rehearsal halls, 842 practice rooms and 6 the most contemporary studios in the campus, which covers more than 40.000m2.

Professor Martinovic gave a lecture and master class to piano professors and students at the Zhejiang Conservatory.
