UL AG participates in the project mentioned below as part of the Medinea association, of which we are a member.

In March 2023 we will host young musicians who will perform in Ljubljana for 14 days under the direction of Fabrizio Cassola. The date of the audition will be announced soon!

This week live interactive online workshops will be launched by UL AG professors. The first part of the Medinea on air program will take place from APRIL 12, 2022 to APRIL 15, 2022 and is aimed at young musicians who are at the beginning of their professional careers, with a focus on preparing them for competitions and auditions.

The educational program uses the modern educational resources of the Medinea Association. The design of the workshops was developed by the educational committee of the Medinea on air, whose members are Doc. Sae Lee and Assoc. prof. Simon Dvoršak and led by UL AG professors.

Medinea on air aims to provide specific preparation for classical musicians and improvisers who wish to audition for the Mediterranean Youth Orchestra's symphonic and Medinea Sessions; and more broadly, to enrich young musicians' musical training. Therefore, in addition to Audition and Competition Preparation, the programme provides three other modules: Digital Technology, Career Development and Human, Social and Entrepreneurial Skills and Aesthetics, Cultures, Identities and Artistic Encounters.

Medinea on air is a European Union Erasmus+ funded programme that unites six partners from the Mediterranean region: the Festival d'Aix-en-Provence (France), the Ente Musicale di Nuoro (Italy), ARC Research and Consultancy (Malta), the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa (Portugal), the University of Ljubljana – Academy of Music (Slovenia), and the Istanbul Technical University (Turkey).
