Debate held on the topic: “OD would introduce the death penalty for the perpetrator who committed crime of rape”

Elsa Montenegro held the debate on the topic: “OD would introduce the death penalty for the perpetrator who committed crime of rape” at the court of the Faculty of Law of the University of Montenegro.

This is a very complex and sensitive issue, which provokes polarized opinions, but which certainly deserves attention and should be discussed. Unfortunately, all indications are that there is still no developed collective awareness of the depth and gravity of all that carries the very mention of that crime.

The arguments in this debate were crossed by students of the Faculty of Law and students of the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Montenegro.

The interests of the Government were represented by Slaven Minić and Mia Zeković, and Jelena Kavarić and Jovana Minić were on the side of the opposition.

Judges at today's debate were: Dean of the Faculty of Law, University of Montenegro, Mrs. Aneta Spaić, lawyer Mr. Draško Đukanović and the Protector of Human Rights and Freedoms of Montenegro, Mr. Siniša Bjeković.

After the end of the debate, the present students got involved with their comments and suggestions and in that way expanded and supplemented the discussion on this topic!

We thank everyone for their presence and participation, we will hang out soon at new events!
