Vučić Filipović – the Best Student of Law Faculty for the Academic Year 2021/22
Student of the Law Faculty of the University of Montenegro, at the Study Programme Legal Sciences, Vučić Filipović (9.33) was elected the best student at his faculty for the current, academic year 2021/22. We talked with him about his way to achieving the goals, the invested efforts, activities at the faculty, motivation, professional plans for the future and advice for future colleagues.
"For me this award is the crown of my work so far and the result of the organization that was necessary in order to achieve small goals, which together, as pieces of a puzzle make this award. It is some kind of proof that it is only worth competing with the person you see in the mirror, because if you can overcome temptations, weaknesses and flaws of that person and overcome all those obstacles, who can be your competition then?", he admits.
The student says that all those who fight for high marks and good average mark know that you need to invest a lot of effort and to sacrifice a lot in order to achieve good results.
"Some subjects are hard enough to pass, and let alone to obtain a high mark, which is needed for a good average mark. Of course, the mark is not of prime importance, but the knowledge I have and which helps me in my further studies", added Vučić.
He singles out debating, as one of the useful activities at the faculty.
"I think that this, in particular for the future lawyers, is a great activity that helps develop critical thinking, improvisation ability and naturally rhetorical abilities. This has also helped me, when I attended the rhetoric school, where I was elected the best speaker of the generation".
When speaking about future goals, he says he wants to achieve the best possible results at the faculty, but in parallel to be socially engaged by joining some organization whose system of functioning and objectives can help him develop in the direction he desires.
"This refers both to Law, as a discipline which I am currently studying, and to sport, which is an indispensable part of my everyday life. I am highly sociable person and I like to be surrounded by people, especially by people who can teach me useful things ", explained Vučić.
His message to the future generations is the following: "Being a student is not the same as being a pupil, but this, "phase of education" in life, requires a more serious approach. Of course, this should not frighten you, but motivate you to be even more hard-working at this moment, to be persistent and aware that you have an opportunity to cooperate with great professors, who will help you acquire the knowledge you need in this area, to set the foundations for future individual development".
