The Institute carries out its activities, including scientific research and professional work, through its sub-organizational units:

  • Center for Climate Change 
  • Center for Archaeology 
  • Center for Sustainable Development
  • Center for Genetics

The Center for Climate Change provides education in the field of climate change and its impact on the environment, natural, and social systems. Additionally, the focus is on advancing knowledge, research methodology and continuous professional development in geosciences, as well as the application of green and blue infrastructure to preserve and improve the geographical environment, health, and overall human progress.

The Centre for Archaeology emphasizes research, documentation, interpretation, marking and elaboration of protection studies of the cultural heritage.

The Center for Sustainable Development will conduct education and research in the field of social development and prosperity, emphasizing natural and technical sciences suitable for sustainable development.

The Center for Genetics was established for education and research, as a base to promote the most advanced study, education and innovation in the area of genetics with special focus on multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary approaches.
