Learning outcomes:

After passing this exam, the student will be able to: Explain psychology as a science; as a science among other sciences and its contribution and influence of its results in various fields and activities including education. Explain the pluralistic nature of psychological science considering the existence of multiple psychological schools and paradigms. Explain the nature of mental processes: cognitive processes: perception, learning with its special forms; memory with its different forms and forgetting, and recognize them in the context of the general educational process, emotional, and motivational processes. Explain the nature of mental dispositions - intelligence and abilities - and to explain the procedures for measuring them especially in the context of education. Explain individual differences in intelligence and abilities. Explain the domains of mental retardation, pseudoretardation, on one hand, as well as the nature of giftedness, on the other hand. Explain the determinants of intelligence development as well as the structure of intelligence from the perspective of specific theories. Explain personality as a comprehensive psychological system as well as the importance of this concept in the context of education. Explain basic questions of personality psychology and pluralistic approach in their research. Explain the concept of personality structure and the nature of elements that make up its composition. Explain the concept of personality dynamics, the nature, and functioning of processes involved. Explain personality development as well as the factors that influence it. Explain the nature and factors of socialization. Explain the concept of self-awareness, the concept of personal identity, and concepts of integrity and maturity of personality. Explain the structure and use of individual personality tests. Explain the psychological aspects of communication.
