After a two-month break due to coronavirus pandemic, professors at the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education of the University of Montenegro continued with anthropometric measurements and conducted measurements of the senior water polo team of Montenegro. 20 best players who were gathered by the selector Vladimir Gojković with their assistants were tested.

Current winners of the bronze medal of the European Championship in Budapest started with preparations and trainings at the Dr. Simo Milosevic Institute pool in Igalo.

It is the club which is a former European champion, in 2008, in Malaga, won a silver medal in 2012 in Eindhoven and a silver medal at the European Championship in Belgrade in 2016, as well as a well-deserved second place at the World Cup in Barcelona in 2013 while in Podgorica, in 2009, it won the world league.

Measurements were performed with state-of-the-art equipment for detection of subcutaneous adipose tissue, muscle tissue, hydration of the organism and metabolism related to the amount of proteins and minerals in the body as well as basal metabolism and complete segmental analysis of the body.

Duško Bjelica, PhD, who conducted measurements with Stevo Popovic, PhD, and associates Dr. Jovan Gardasevic and Dr. Ivan Vasiljevic, as well as IT engineer Miodrag Zarubica, thanked the professional staff and coach of the water polo team Vladimir Gojkovic for the trust stressing out that measurements with innovative bioelectric impedance are more essential parameters for more efficient training and energy capacity development.

"Anthropometric measurements of our national team members had been conducted even before leaving for the European Championship in Budapest," Professor Bjelica said.

Professors of the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education UMNE agreed with the coach Gojković on conducting a new test after training process.
