International Conference Njegos Days Started

In the atrium of the summer residence Buća - Luković, the international scientific meeting "Njegoševi dani 9" was opened last night, which was organized by the Faculty of Philology of the University of Montenegro, with the hosting of the Tivat Culture Center.

 

The scientific gathering began with the singing of the national anthem, and Njegošs days were opened by the Prime Minister of the Government of Montenegro in technical mandate, Dritan Abazović, who expressed his satisfaction that they had gathered on this occasion.

 

The president of the Board of Directors of the University of Montenegro, prof., also spoke at the opening. Dr. Rajka Glušica, Dean of the Faculty of Philology, Prof. Dr. Igor Lakić, prof. Dr. Tatjana Đurišić, President of the Organizing Committee Tatjana Bečanović, Ambassador of North Macedonia Rami Redžepi, as guest of honor, President of the Municipality of Tivat Željko Komnenović, Acting Director of the Tivat Culture Center Diana Sindik, academician Robert Holdel on behalf of the Scientific Council of Njegošev days

 

President of the Board of the University of Montenegro, Rajka Glušica, PhD, said that the first Njegoš Days were held in 2008, and so far, including the ninth gathering, 170 scientists from Europe and the world have passed through them.

 

"And the presence of Slavists from abroad gives this gathering true international importance and prestige." Without them, there would be no Njegoš days, because they speak of the quality of Njegoš days", said Glušica, stating that this years guest of honor is North Macedonia on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Blaž Koneski, the most famous Macedonian writer and founder and reformer of the Macedonian language.

 

As part of the program of the scientific meeting, three literary evenings will be held, Glušica announced and highlighted the presence of the most awarded Serbian writer, Aleksandar Gatalica, Renat Baretić from Split and the famous Macedonian writer Tomislav Osmanlija.

 

59 scientists from 13 European countries, 27 cities and 35 different scientific research and educational institutions are participating in the Ninth International Meeting, which will last until September 10.

 

In the musical part of the evening, KIC POP CHOIR, Miran Begić, violin, and Aleksej Molčanov, piano performed.
