The study program for Italian language and literature, in cooperation with the Association of Italian Language Teachers of Montenegro, marked the beginning of the XXII Week of the Italian Language in the World with a competition of young reciters. In the Amphitheater of the Faculty of Philology, full of smiling young faces, 40 primary and secondary school students from different cities of Montenegro (Podgorica, Tivat, Nikšić, Cetinje, Kotor, Tuzi, Mojkovac) competed in reciting verses by Italian poets (Danuncija, Leopardija, Karduchija)). Professor of Italian literature Assoc. Olivera Popović, Ph.D., and Desanka Jauković, M.Sc., made a selection of songs by Pier Paolo Pasolini and Patricia Cavali, which were recited by the students of the Study Program for Italian Language and Literature in the revue part of the competition. Ljubica Radulović, Kristina Naumović and Ljiljana Radulović. The program was managed by Zoraida Kaluđerović, a masters student of the Study Program for Italian Language and Literature. The very difficult task of selecting the best male and female reciters fell to a three-member jury consisting of the independent advisor for the Italian language at ZZŠ, Mrs. Raba Hodžić, teaching associate Desanka Jauković, MSc, and prof. Giampiero Biaggioli, Italian lecturer at SP for Italian language and literature.

After presenting the prizes to the winners and diplomas to their mentors, the Head of the SP for Italian Language and Literature Assoc. Dr. Deja Piletić used the opportunity to present, on behalf of the Study Program, sets of books History of Italian Literature by Giulio Ferroni as a symbolic award to Italian language teachers who are in the competition of the Association of Italian Language Teachers of Montenegro for the best teachers in the 2021/22 won the first three places. On this occasion, prof. Katrina Vujačić, president of the Association of Italian Language Teachers of Montenegro, thanked the Study Program for Italian Language and Literature for the great support that this association has received in its tireless creative work since the first day of its foundation. Very proud of the young lovers of the Italian language and their creative professors and satisfied with the successful cooperation of the Study Program for the Italian Language and Literature with the Association of Italian Language Teachers in Montenegro, we continue, planning new joint activities in the mission of promoting the Italian language and culture in Montenegro.
