Music Academy in Cetinje organizes the Third SIMPED

The Third International Symposium on Music Pedagogy (SIMPED) will be officially opened on October 26  in the Royal Theater Zetski dom in Cetinje, when keynote lectures will be given by Prof. Dr. Blanka Bogunović (Faculty of Music of the University of Arts in Belgrade) and Prof. Dr. Snježana Dobrota (Faculty of Humanities and Social Science, University of Split). The symposium will gather around 50 researchers from the country and abroad (USA, Australia, Nigeria, Poland, Hungary, North Macedonia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro). SIMPED is recognized in international scientific public as an important gathering place under the motto "Musical pedagogy - challenge, inspiration and creation". Participants will present papers and workshops from the field of general music pedagogy, solfeggio teaching methods and instrumental pedagogy.

The concert program of professors and students will enrich two meaningful symposium days. The final event will be an exhibition of works  inspired by selected musical peaces by students of the "Petar Lubarda" High School of Fine Arts in Cetinje. The chair of the symposium is Prof. Dr. Jelena Martinović-Bogojević, and the president of the international Scientific Committee, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vedrana Marković. The president od the Organizing Committee is prof. Tatjana Krkeljić, the Dean of the Music Academy.

The organizer and host of SIMPED is the Music Academy in Cetinje, and the main sponsor is the Rectorate of the University of Montenegro.
