FoMT Awarded Diplomas to Graduates at 46th Anniversary of Their Work

Faculty of Metallurgy and Technology of the University of Montenegro celebrated 46 anniversary by awarding diplomas, rewarding the best students and delivery  the thank-you notes to traditional partners: Uniprom, Aluminum Factory, ‘’Trebjesa’’ brewery and ‘’Toscelik’’ hardware from Niksic, as well as teaching bases for practical training of students today. 

Mira Vukcevic, PhD, the Dean of the Faculty of Metallurgy and Technology, referred to the development of the Faculty, which, through its history, tried to adapt to new market conditions, through the opening of new study programs and current innovation. 

‘’ Since its beginning, Faculty has a great cooperation with the industry in the field of metallurgy and chemical technology in Montenegro, which is reflected in the scientific-professional cooperation, as well as through contacts in employment of our staff’’, Vukcevic, the Dean, said.

Faculty had, she said, the support of the project cooperation, the organization of practical exercises, study visits, through decades of its work. 

 ‘’ A large number of companies in the region is on the list of companies that are the teaching base of the Faculty, and the Agreement on Implementation of Practical Training, as a compulsory subject and the type of teaching, by reorganized curriculum, starting from the summer semester of the next academic year, is already signed with 10 of them’’, Vukcevic, Dean, announced.   

She emphasized the work of professors and associates of the Faculty at scientific-research field, who, despite the fact that they are only a few, with the number of papers published in indexed publications are among the best published papers by university units at the University of Montenegro. Almost all associates and professors are included as researchers in national projects or project activities of national projects and European program frameworks (Eureka, Cost, INVO HERC, Horizon 2020 EIT). 

Faculty of Metallurgy and Technology has and implements bilateral cooperation with Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Italy, Hungary. 

46 Bachelor degrees, 31 specialist diploma and two Master Degrees in the field of Chemical technology are awarded at today’s ceremony. 

Milan Djukanovic (Metallurgy), Marija Kaludjerovic (Chemical Technology) are awarded the best Bachelor students, while Sladjana Musikic, Tanja Vucic and Bojana Nikic are awarded at specialist studies (Protection of the Environment).

Thank-you notes in the name of companies have received Nebojsa Dozic (Uniprom-Aluminum Factory), Ivana Vavic Milic (‘’Toscelik’’ hardware) and Natalija Milic, the manager of cooperative communications of ‘’Trebjesa’’ brewery.

Danilo Nikolic, PhD, the Rector of the University of Montenegro attended the celebration of the Jubilee, as well as Dusko Bjelica, PhD, the Chairperson of the Steering Committee of the Univeristy of Montenegro, Djurdjica Perovic, PhD, the Vice-Rector, deans, professors, representatives of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Science and business associates of the Faculty of Metallurgy and Technology.
