Aims | The aim of the course is to provide students with an understanding of the basic principles and theories of change management in the business environment, as well as an understanding of different styles and methods of change management. Also, the intention is to influence the development of skills for predicting the efficiency and effectiveness of decisions. A special segment includes pointing out the paradox of organizational changes, as well as the study of the human factor in change management. |
Learning outcomes | After the student passes this exam, he/she will be able to: - distinguish basic types of change, - explain different concepts and theories used in change management, - discuss the possible consequences of certain organizational changes, - apply theoretical knowledge to practical case studies and projects related to change management, - critically examines the incompatibility of employee roles, and the paradoxes that occur in the change management process, - analyzes the efficiency and effectiveness of different approaches to change management. |

Aims | Studying of planning organisation and understanding of basic approaches, methods and models. |
Learning outcomes | After acquisition of the course curriculum students will be able to: • explain subject of study of planning organisation, • classify basic models of organisational structure, • explain impact of size, goals and environment of the organisation on the selection of model of organisational structure, • explain relation between strategy and organisational goals, • explain differences among basic models of organisational structure, • explain phases of planning organisation: defining, differentiation and integration of organisational tasks, • classify types of incentives, • explain concept of organisational climate, • classify coordination, control and knowledge sharing systems within chosen organisational model, • explain basic rules for planning organisation, • explain types of processes in organisation and their influence on the organisation design, • analyse problem of human factor in organisation, • integrate basic methods and techniques of planning organisation, • analyse advantages and disadvantages of different organisational forms, • explain procedure of developing model of organisational structure in relation to the elements of the organisation, • integrate situational approach in planning organisation, • explain importance of flexibility in the application of organisational model. |

Learning outcomes | After acquisition of the course curriculum students will be able to: • explain subject of organisation design study, • classify basic models of organisation, • explain differences among basic – typical models of organisational structure, • classify contemporary models of organisational structure, • explain concepts of specialisation, departmentalization, coordination and delegation of authority within organisation, • explain importance of formalisation and job classification, • analyze basic rules for designing organisation, • analyze problem of human factor and technology in the organisation, • explain role of performance measuring and awarding of employees in the organisation, • integrate basic methods and techniques of designing organisation, • classify types of organisational structures, • analyze advantages and disadvantages of different organisational forms, • explain procedure of developing model of organisational structure in relation to the elements of the organisation, • create model of organisational structure with respect to the nature of a specific organisation. |
