A Scientific Conference on the Topic of Polytrauma - Neglected Diseases of Modern Times Held

A scientific meeting on the topic: “Polytrauma - a neglected disease of modern times’’ was held today at the amphitheater of the Faculty of Medicine in Podgorica.

After an introductory speech by a neurosurgeon, Vasas Antunovic, PhD, CANU Member and Advisor of the Director of the CCME for Surgical Branches and Jevto Erakovic, PhD, the Director of the CCME, eminent experts held lectures.

Eminent experts from Montenegro and Serbia crossed their scientific minds and discussed about one of the biggest problems of the 21st century - the Polytrauma at the aforementioned scientific conference. The mere fact that trauma is the third most common cause of death speaks volumes about the significance and severity of this problem. It should be emphasized that the most frequent victims of the polytrauma are persons of the age between 20 to 40 years, ie. the healthiest part of the population.

This meeting will be just one in a series of scientific conferences planned as part of the continuing medical education of our physicians through the exchange of the unlearned thought of the region and the world.
