The Faculty of Electrical Engineering was, is and will be the place for selected ones, and in this stabile educational institution, under the supervision of respected professor, for generations we develop a qualitative professionals, and in scientific and educational future, the Faculty will be the leading force.

This was the message sent from the celebration on the 60th year of the establishment of the Faculty in Podgorica.

Dean of the Faculty, Saša Mujović, said that belonging to the Faculty in any way, represents a privilege and beforehand signed consent to hard work, patience and deep belief that devoted work must bring results.

“The Faculty represents people, and achieving their satisfaction is the biggest imperative of a dean. In last two years, five of our colleagues, who received their PhD diplomas here, are elected into scientific titles, which represents exceptional pledge for the future. We managed to keep our best students at the Faculty. Academic staff cannot be created today for tomorrow, it has to be planned and I believe that we are successful in that”, Mujović said.

In last two years the Faculty received about 600 thousands euros of donations, used for reconstruction of space and purchase of laboratory equipment.

“Two large, capital, projects are just to be realized. The first one is that research of 5G network will be performed at the Faculty, in cooperation with the company Telenor, and the second one is that we have made an agreement with the company ABB which will develop and establish a Regional Center of Excellence at our Faculty”, Mujović stated.

He concluded that today we are more aware that science is not an expense but the best investment, and knowledge is the best way to improve ourselves.

Speakers at the ceremony also were: Prof. Dr. Vladimir Božović, rector of the University of Montenegro, Mr Aleksa Bečić, president of the Montenegrin Assembly, Mr Milutin Đukanović, president of the Board of Directors of the EPCG, Mr Nikola Rovčanin, Executive Director of the EPCG, Prof. Dr. Milo Tomašević, Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Belgrade, Jelena Aligrudić, MA student at the Faculty.
