In celebration of the University of Montenegros jubilee under the slogan FuturUM, UCG Rector Prof. Dr. Vladimir Božović officially opened an exhibition of student works today. These works were produced during practical classes in the Architectural Design 3 course, led by Prof. Dr. Slavica Stamatović Vučković and her team at the Faculty of Architecture. The exhibition emerged from a collaboration between the Faculty of Architecture and the Faculty of Medicine at UCG. The 26 exhibited works were created for the Anex building of the Faculty of Medicine, which includes an amphitheater and primarily serves administrative and educational purposes.

At the packed exhibition hall of the UCG Rectorate, in the presence of the deans of both faculties, architect Prof. Dr. Svetlana Perović, and Prof. Dr. Miodrag Radunović, along with students and professors, Rector Božović remarked that the jubilee especially provides an opportunity to highlight the achievements of the students.

He awarded prizes to the three most successful works by third-year Architecture students: the first prize to Aleksandra Pavićević and Iva Blagojević, the second to Adnan Vukić and Amir Čikić, and the third to Đuli Šestović.

“What they have created, which we can perceive with all our senses, deserves a place on the global stage," said Rector Božović, congratulating the students and expressing confidence that they will soon be able to see and enjoy the fruits of their labor in person.

The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Miodrag Radunović, also thanked the students, saying, “The structure of your design solutions has the potential to become a meeting place between the object and its environment, people and the space around them, a thread of communication between the Faculty of Medicine and the University of Montenegro, and to foster better interconnectivity between the Faculty of Architecture and the Faculty of Medicine in various contexts.”

He also thanked Dean Perović, Professor Slavica Stamatović Vučković, and her team, and especially Rector Božović for his support and for opening the exhibition, thereby affirming the values cherished by the academic community.

The awarded works most successfully met the set theme. The exhibition demonstrated a belief that the professional and young design elite of the Faculty of Architecture, with their professionalism and responsibility, will succeed in creating spaces that promise a better future.
