Award at the MATSUS23 conference

Dr. Jana Mišurović, teaching associate at the Faculty of Metallurgy and Technology, received the first prize for the best poster presentation at the Materials for Sustainable Development Conference (MATSUS23), within the symposium Enabling Beyond Classical Li-ion Batteries through materials development and sustainability, held on March 6-10th 2023 at the Congress Palace, Valencia, Spain. The work presented at the conference, "Vine shoots-derived hard carbon as an anode for Na-ion batteries", is the result of research within the Carbon-based Batteries and Supercapacitors project, funded through the NATO Science for Peace and Security program. Other co-authors of the paper are MSc Aleksandra Gezović and Prof. Veselinka Grudić from the Faculty of Metallurgy and Technology of the University of Montenegro, Milica Vujković, Ph.D, from the Faculty of Physical Chemistry of the University of Belgrade, as well as MSc Blaž Tratnik, Alen Vižintin, Ph.D, and Prof. Robert Dominko from the National Instutute of Chemistry in Ljubljana.
