Four more days for applying for the second generation of the startup academy “Rise-T” of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering

The second generation of the Startup Academy of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering “Rise-T” will start with a four-month training course in February 2021, after the selection of applications which can be sent until the February 1st. Teams from three to five members consisting of the students of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and the Faculty of Science and Mathematics have the right to participate. Those interested can apply by filing out the form on the website:  http://startup.etf.ucg.ac.me

Six selected teams will have the opportunity to develop their innovative business ideas by working with experts from different fields. Attendees will learn how to think about the commercializing their own innovative ideas and starting up their own business, as well as about an equally important presentation. This year too, at the end of the training course, the final competition will be organized, where the most innovative ideas and the most promising startup solution will be chosen, and the best teams will be rewarded valuable prizes.

Every team will get their own mentor who will guide it through the whole process of developing the idea. These are: Ljubo Kneževeć (Chief Engineer for Network Analysis at CGES and President of the Board of the Investment Agency of Montenegro), Đuro Stojanović (Co-founder of Uhura Solutions, UK-based Al fintech startup), Nenad Novović (Director of Amplitudo), Saša Leković (Executive

Director for Telenor Technology for Serbia and Montenegro), Branko Mitrović (General Director of Telenor Montenegro), Jasna Pejović (Director of the company DigitalBee and Co-founder of the startup Flourish). Co-mentors will also work with teams and train them through thematic modules: Sava Laketić (PWC Director for Montenegro), Darko Ivanović (Founder of The Badger Crew and communication expert), Aleksandar Janičić (Project Manager in Tehnopolis), Boris Banjac (Product Owner Lead in Amplitudo)…

 

The goal of the Startup Academy is to provide additional value in the field of startup ecosystems by connecting the academic and business sector to selected students; and that is the skill of starting your own business and creating new branches in the economy of Montenegro.

 

For the second year in a row, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering is implementing this project in collaboration with the company Amplitudo.
