Competition for Young Designers
To commemorate the fall of the Berlin Wall and the beginning of the breakup of Yugoslavia, CDT, with partners from six countries of the European Union and the Western Balkans, is implementing the project “1989-2019: 30 years since the fall of the Berlin Wall”.
The project launched a public dialogue on 1989 and its reflections on a united Europe and former Yugoslav states.
The focus of the debate will be the importance of 1989 for Eastern and Western Europe, for the countries of the former Yugoslavia, but also for the difference in the way the Europeans and the Balkans dealt with the conflicts of that time.
Through public debates about symbolism of the fall of the Berlin Wall, we want to launch a debate about why a merger of the national and the neo-nationalist happened in the former Yugoslavia.
Through a set of different public events, forums, lectures, exhibitions we want to tell a different story about 1989 in Europe and Montenegro.
We aim to connect as many people as possible through this action and through open dialogue to further contribute to the affirmation and development of European values.
CDT implements this competition in cooperation with the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Montenegro.
The right to participate in the competition are graphic designers, students of design and architecture, visual artists, photographers, architects from Montenegro, up to 30 years of age.
