New Curriculum Economics, University of Montenegro




Starting from the principle of an integrated university study programs and the reorganization of the University of Montenegro, Faculty of Economics, has applied for the initial accreditation of new study programs for all levels of academic and applied studies.

From the 2017/18 study. year, Basic academic studies: The economy will be carried on a 3 + 2 + 3 (the three basic studies, two years master studies and 3 year PhD). After completing three years of academic undergraduate studies diploma obtained academic undergraduate studies, Bachelor Degree (BSc) - Economics (3 years, 180 ECTS credits). In addition to diplomas states and closer to describing one of the areas of study program (Microeconomics or Macroeconomics), depending on which module the student graduated.


Academic master studies last two years (120 ECTS credits). Student can choose the master study program economics or business economics. In an academic study program master Economy, the student is able to choose one of the two modules, or economic policy Quantitative economy. Within the academic master study program Business Economics, a student can choose one of three modules: Finance and Accounting, Management and Marketing or IT economics. After completing two years of academic master studies and defended the work, the student receives a degree master academic studies (MSc) - with the name of the programs (Economics and Business Administration). In addition to the diploma will be described in one of the possible areas of study at the master, that the student has completed.
Doctoral Studies - ECONOMY last three years (180 ECTS credits). After completing three years of doctoral studies and defended a doctoral dissertation received the diploma of doctoral studies, the degree of Doctor of Science (PhD) - Economy.
