Circumstances in which the teaching process at the University of Montenegro has been functioning in the last year, apart from the on-line approach in regular teaching, have imposed a reflection on the manner of teaching practice which in regular conditions includes hospice and realization of classes in school during which theoretical and methodological knowledge is applied. , approaches and principles in the field of language teaching and literature teaching, adopted during lectures and exercises, i.e. theoretical part of teaching.

The preparation of students for the organization and realization of the lesson begins with a knowledgeable reading of the subject program and its analysis, then the choice of methods, means and forms of work harmonized with the contents, concepts, skills and values ​​that students are taught. After that, there is a detailed planning of each unit in the macrostructure of the class (introductory, main and final part) according to their function during implementation, while through specifying smaller structural units - teaching situations, purposeful student activities are conceptualized by taxonomic levels of knowledge. Following the mostly inductive-deductive path in learning a new language phenomenon, future teachers start from the immanent grammar that is the property of each student as a native speaker of the mother tongue and previously acquired language content, awareness of the knowledge that students already possess, leading them to a new one habit of more or less distant linguistic communication, that is, towards a standard linguistic expression as a socially accepted expression of culture. At the same time, local dialects and their peculiarities are nurtured and preserved, as a special linguistic treasure of the region from which they originate.

Students of the Study Program for Montenegrin Language and South Slavic Literature and the Study Program for Serbian Language and South Slavic Literature mostly responsibly and conscientiously prepared the first lesson of language teaching, which they then presented to their colleagues during online lectures, occasionally creating with the help of digital technology. , situations almost identical to those in a real classroom. Although such simulation lacks an important moment - the immediate reactions of students, which are always the best measure of the efficiency of the prepared, creative and interesting solutions, variety of activities and enthusiasm of students contributed to the knowledge acquired through their practical application in the virtual classroom.
