Invitation to MIMS 2021 organized by students under the auspices of the Faculty of Medicine

Dear colleagues,

I have the opportunity to invite you with pride and pleasure to the second Montenegrin International Medical Summit (MIMS 2021) which will be held in Podgorica from October 14, 2021 to October 17, 2021. The current pandemic is not a reason to stop working on our knowledge and connections, but an additional reason for that. MIMS is organized by students under the auspices of the Medical Faculty of the University of Montenegro, as a center of academic education in Montenegro.

Unity and good cooperation are important in order to organize the best possible gathering for all young doctors and students of medicine, pharmacy and dentistry. For this reason, we strive to extend and improve the current cooperation between our UCG and other universities in the region, as well as the formation of new agreements.

It is with great pleasure that we organize the second congress aware of the importance of such events for students. We believe that this gathering will be a valuable experience for all participants, and that it will serve to improve knowledge, exchange experiences and ideas and create new acquaintances. As part of the congress, all participants will have the opportunity to listen to lectures by leading experts from Montenegro and the region on various topics, where in light of the situation affecting the whole world, emphasis will be placed on various aspects of Covid 19. The congress will, of course, include plenary sessions and poster presentations, as well as a variety of workshops. We are sure that this will be a valuable experience that you will enrich and beautify with your participation and presence.

The slogan for this year's MIMS 2021 is "Make every connection matter" because due to the pandemic, we clearly saw how important it is to be and stay connected with others. We will adjust the form of the congress to the epidemiological situation and measures in the foreseeable future, but in the hope that we will meet face to face in Podgorica in October.
