Great Interest for Admission at the Faculty of Medicine of UoM
Proposed number of students for admission in the first year of undergraduate studies of the Faculty of Medicine of the UoM, on budget, is 40 on Medicine, at Dentistry-20, at Pharmacy-30, at Applied Physioteraphy-45 and at High Medical School-50 students.
Aleksandra Vuksanovic-Bozaric, PhD, the Vice-Dean for Education of the Faculty of Medicine of the UoM says that there is a great interest for all study programs of the Faculty of Medicine of the UoM.
‘’We expect the best candidates. The Faculty of Medicine enables educative characters of world modern trends through modern technologies of learning, contributing to improving the quality of health system of Montenegro through continuous medical education of regional authority’’, Vuskanovic-Bozaric says.
All interested candidates may submit the necessary documentation for admission to all study programs of the Faculty of Medicine of the UoM in the premises of the Faculty of Medicine in Podgorica. Right to apply have all candidates with graduated Gymnasium and medical high school by four-year education system. Candidates who have graduated different type of high school, do not have the opportunity for admission at the Faculty of Medicine of the UoM.
‘’At academic study program Medicine and dentistry, admission exam will be taken for subjects: Chemistry and Biology. Scoring will be implemented according the Rules on admission and admission criteria in the first year of undergraduate studies and maximum number of points achieved at the admission exam is 5. The candidate is scored from two subject of importance for mastering the study program: Chemistry and Biology from third and fourth grade of high school with the admission exam’’, Vuksanovic-Bozaric says.
Candidates will be enrolled according to ranking, by points, and according the Rules on admission and admission criteria in the first year of undergraduate studies at Pharmacy and High Medical School in Berane and Applied Physiotherapy in Igalo.
At Pharmacy, scoring of candidates is implemented for subjects Chemistry and Mathematics from third and fourth grade of high school which are important for mastering the study program and according with the Rules on admission and admission criteria in the first year of undergraduate studies.
Chemistry and Biology from third and fourth grade of high school are scored for High Medical School and Biology and Physics for Applied Physiotherapy.
Theoretical and practical education
Vice-Dean Aleksandra Vuksanovic-Bozaric says that theoretical and practical education at preclinical subjects of study programs of the Faculty of Medicine of the UoM is implemented in modern equipped amphitheaters, auditoriums, laboratory, computer halls in the building of the faculty of Medicine.
‘’Lecture from clinical subjects is implemented in teaching-scientific bases of the Faculty of Medicine, where students adopt clinical skills and become familiar with the latest diagnostic procedures through the least and most current technology’’, she says.
Mobility as a special part of the educational process
Mobility of students of the Faculty of Medicine of the UoM through international cooperation of the Faculty of Medicine and organized activity of MOMSIC is a special part of the educational process, Vice-Dean Vuksanovic-Bozaric adds. Significant international cooperation of regional centers and the Faculty of Medicine implemented through the implementation of bilateral, national, Erasmus and Erasmus + projects, which is one of the indicators of quality control of Faculty of Medicine educational process.
