The Faculty of Philology of the University of Montenegro has announced the first call for first and second year master's students, as well as specialist studies, at the Faculty of Philology and Philosophy, for Multidisciplinary Studies on Migration and Integration through Intercultural Dialogue - EMIMI.
These studies are part of the project which is supported by a grant of the Jean Monnet Modules action, which was awarded to the Faculty of Philology of the University of Montenegro.
"Given that graduates of philological disciplines cover important positions in public administration, but also in international institutions, it is necessary for them to be trained in the field of European studies," said the project coordinator, doc. Dr. Sonja Spadijer.
The proposed module consists of eight thematic units that will be implemented twice a week, within two-hour blocks in March, April and May of the academic year 2022. The skills acquired during this module will be described in a certificate that will be issued to students at the end of the course.
Professors of Humanities and Social Sciences from the Faculty of Philosophy, the Faculty of Political Sciences, the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Philology are participating in the realization of the project.
We will implement this project with a multidisciplinary team of experts and young researchers (in the field of Law, Political Sciences, History, Economics, Linguistics) who will use different methodologies and conduct numerous activities (courses, workshops, research, website creation, OER, conference, writing scientific articles, publishing material collected during the implementation of the project, etc.) ", explains professor Spadijer.
Lectures are held at the Faculty of Philology in Nikšić, with a combined teaching model (blended learning / live and / or online). The module program is not accredited and does not evnisage assessment.
The realization of the Jean Monnet EMIMI module is supported by the European Union through the ERASMUS + program, and co-financed by UoM.
Jean Monnet actions in the field of higher education support teaching and research in the field of European Union studies around the world. EU studies means the study of Europe as a whole, with special emphasis on the EU dimension, from an internal but also a global perspective.
