Doctoral student of the Faculty of Philology in the shortlist of the Sea of Words Competition

The international jury, as part of the "A Sea of ​​Words" literary contest for young people, which has been realized for the fifteenth year in a row by the European Mediterranean Institute (IEMed) in cooperation with the "Ana Lindt" Foundation, has chosen the 10 best short stories by the author from 25 different Euro-Mediterranean countries, among them is Tijana Rakočević, MSc, PhD student from the SP Montenegrin Language and South Slavic Literature of the Faculty of Philology of the University of Montenegro.

 

This years edition was dedicated to the fight for gender equality. There were 152 stories in the first qualifying round, and 45 in the second.

 

Ten authors, among them Tijana Rakočević, MA, will be invited to take part in the laureate announcement ceremony on November 25 and 26, 2022, which will be held in Barcelona. Authors from Algeria, the Czech Republic, Italy, Jordan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Italy, Palestine, Syria and Tunisia were also in the final of the competition.

 

The selected works will be published in a digital publication with texts in the native language and in English translation.
